The zero print study is nice to have. I really like that you can configure the number of ticks it calculates, very useful when trading different contracts. It also helps declutter the chart, since you don’t need both VBP and TPO visible at the same time. Personally, I prefer using VBP alongside the zero prints. The study is fully customizable, so you can set it up exactly how you want. Most importantly, it’s not clunky it works right out of the box, as does everything from SCS. Reasonable price, good product.

I’ve been searching for the best trade journaling app for years ever since my futures trading mentor told me that journaling is something that you must do and is the most important thing you can do to improve your trading. I read reviews and even made a comparison spreadsheet between different apps but there is always a trade off using one app versus another. I have tried Tradersync, Tradervue, Tradesviz, Stonk Journal, Disciplined Trader, Traders Second Brain, and a few others not even worth mentioning. If you use Sierra Chart, then SC Trading Journal is the best trade journaling app for you. Since I’ve been using it, Charles, the developer, has added so many more useful features from user input. Anything you could dream of he can add it at and at a speed that’s not human! He has no attitude, is always open to suggestions, and is very grateful for user input to constantly improve the app. The SC Trading Journal has so many useful features you didn’t even know you needed a feature until you try it and then you realize you can’t live without it. It can do everything that the typical trading journal can do (i.e. log your trades and spit out some stats) but it is more efficiently and can do SO much more. It practically runs in the background (when I enter a trade in Sierra Chart, I only have to choose my tags and type my thoughts) so I can spend more time focusing on the trade and improving. Reviewing and backtesting trades has never been easier with all the tools you get in the app, especially the automatic screenshots that attach to every trade with built-in annotation tools, automatic video recording built into the app to connect each trade with a video, missed trades backtesting, a section to develop your edge with saved filters, a search function to find key words in your notes, and the option to easily select your trades to export as a PDF report to your mentor or trading group for review. And the price just makes it a no-brainer.

This one's a gem. I was using a custom spreadsheet that I was refusing to let go, using ATR based twconfigs (aka the trading configurations in sierra changed automatically based on atr (larger targets/stops when higher volatility and viceversa), but the problem was it predefined stops rather than using actual market structures for them. The other big advantage I found with the manager, it gives me a more natural feedback loop that rewards my best setups with more size. A tight, big conviction stop at a precise absorption/gex level gives more contracts and a wider, less certain stop gives fewer. My atr system had no such feedback, I would put on 4 nmq on a mediocre setup at low atr as easily as on a perfect setup. And finally, it completeley removes my mental load during trade execution, no more choosing which atr tier applies. Draw the structural stop, press the button, size is calculated. Mental energy stays on reading the footprint and gex structure, not on tier selection. Boom, 10 stars! Thanks!

This was my first introduction to SC Studies, and what a phenomenal product it is. I originally found out about it on Reddit, and it hasn't disappointed. The tool’s ease of use and various KPIs have drastically shortened the time it takes for me to develop and implement a viable strategy. On top of that, Charles is extremely helpful and implements user recommendations quickly and efficiently. Truly a great product.

Easily best journal with amazing features! No more manual logging, fast tagging and trade filtering, auto-screenshots, auto-screen recording/clipping. This just saves so much manual work. There's nothing like this in the market right now and the price tag is simply way too good for what you get. Also, Charles has been amazing with taking on new ideas and constantly making it better everyday. This is the end-game journal for any avid sierrachart user.

This is the Sierra Chart journaling tool I have been looking for long time. The price for lifetime license is great and definitely worth it. The support is wonderful, I wrote some suggestions to the developer Charles and amazingly he delivered what I want in 2 days. I saw many new features were added and lots of improvement have been made in the last 2 months. Great job Charles! I highly recommend this trading journal to SC users.

Unbeatable! Sierra Chart Journal captures auto screenshots at each fill, capturing multiple charts, as well as MAE/MFE without missing a SINGLE spike! None of the other trade journals compare; for someone looking to do accurate back/forward testing, this is hands down the best tool. Saves you so so so much manual and tedious labor! No more scrolling through Tradingview charts for me, just select my trade, and in addition to seeing screenshots of it, I can "view on chart" my trade with added trade triangles, making backtesting a BREEZE! I'm not one to usually right reviews, but the developer is so response and instantly adds on all the features you might need, and the product is smooth and works flawlessly out of the gate (usually I'm hestiant as products are often janky). Instead of paying any trade journal $50 a month, and not even have ACCURATE MAE/MFE info (for optimizing trade entries and "better" exits), no other tool comes close. And the convenience aspect? It automatically captures trades, uploads them to your journal app, screenshots, everything. You don't need to do a thing. If it sounds too good to be true, I dare you to try it for a month. You'll be converted. I use sierra charts anyway as none of the other platforms come close for my level of shortcuts and semi automation via scripts. this trade journal has given me a new unexpected benefit I never expected to have from just using sierra chart.

Anyone who's spent serious time in Sierra Chart knows what I'd call "settings fatigue" — that cycle of adjusting, applying, testing, and repeating until something finally looks right. The heatmap sensitivity controls solve this completely. Whether I want to isolate major levels or get a finer-grained view of pulling and stacking history, I can dial it into the goldilocks zone quickly instead of grinding through menus. The cursor quantity display solved a separate but equally frustrating problem. When a historical zone hits max color (red in my setup), you have no idea whether the quantity is just above your threshold (say 250 vs 1000+), which carries completely different market context. For those large orders that only last a single bar, this tool is the fastest way to get a real number without any guesswork. Those used to Bookmap will feel a little bit more at home with this tool. Highly recommended.

Been using SC for a few years now, and been a trading journal nomad all this time as I had yet to find a great journal app that gives me what I need for a great price.. until now. I have been using SCStudies' trading journal for a month now. It is the best journaling tool for Sierra Chart. I especially love how I don't have to manually enter every single trade ticket, entry, exit, stop and timing, date etc. It connects directly to SC so it imports the trade details for me, leaving me to journal the important stuff. I used to dread journaling until I found SCStudies. Updates are regular and it's always being improved on and updated with new features that we request for. If it can be done, Charles will implement it. You can see the love and effort he put into the trading journal. Needless to say, any bugs are promptly fixed. Thank you Charles for creating this awesome app! To everyone else, if you are a Sierra Chart user and want a reasonably priced Journal that does all you need and more, get it! You won't regret it, I promise!

best auto journal for sierra chart. clean and easy to get up and running

SC user for 2.5+ yrs. The Journal works exactly as described. Every feature I've tried has performed as documented, with no unexpected behaviour or hidden quirks. It's rare to find a tool like this where the description and the actual experience are aligned. What sets this apart, though, is the developer - Charles. Feedback doesn't disappear into a black hole — it gets acknowledged quickly, understood properly, and acted on. Bug reports and feature requests are turned around faster than I've experienced with other vendors. When I've suggested changes, they've been implemented cleanly and without fuss, often within days. The developer is great and creates excellent products. If possible, adding red folders and date/time/countdown/exc details would be a nice bonus. Overall, it’s flawless work.

This is by far the best journaling tool for Sierra Chart. It has made journaling not only more convenient but genuinely enjoyable. I never usually post reviews, but this is easily the best third party product I’ve ever purchased for trading. Whoever the developer is, they’re elite. It runs incredibly smooth, very similar to SC. Whenever people ask me what the best trading platform is, I always say SC, it’s not even close. This journal feels the same way, simply the best. You really can’t make it run any better. I just want to say thank you to whoever created this. Amazing job!

Well, this is an ironic one. I never post reviews, like ever. But today I feel I'm morally obliged to do it. So I've discovered this amazing app in a post on reddit. It's my first paid Journal app, I was using Tradenote, a free source (yet kind of abandonware raw journal), after trying most of the trials available for the big names on the block. Couldn't justify them though. I loved it from the beginning. Snappy, with lots of features. This is recently like maybe 3 days ago? Well, since then, I've been in contact with Charles daily. Reporting bugs, ideas, improving it, and him shipping update after update. The price is amazing for the lifetime purchase, I never ever liked the SaaS business model, so this is something new. The app got better every day, with average 2-3 iterations each day, fixes and features added. I really love it, and I feel it's close to the finished product I ever wanted. Thank you Charles for making this. Yes, it has some AI help, as most of products these days, but it's far from the ordinary AI slop. It really shines in the bunch, especially for real power user traders, who love the best platform - SierraChart. Would definitely recommend! And will get a new license for my trading buddy!

I've been using Sierra Chart for 3+ years. I've always wanted to see my PnL / equity curve, but Sierra just doesn't provide it. Sierra is such a feature rich platform, it's strange why it doesn't have what so many other platforms have in this regard. That brings me to the SCS Journal. Bottom line, it's terrific. It's a great tool that shows Sierra's trade data in a clear way! There's graphs for just about any metric you'd want and probably more coming in future developments. The developer Charles is actively making it better which is great. Knowing the developer is standing behind their product and is quick with answers to questions is very significant. This is an unsolicited review. I'm highly recommending this product.

This study is honestly a great investment. Market Depth is an incredibly powerful tool. Being able to adjust the min/max levels on the fly with ASC hotkeys makes life so much easier. The futures markets move fast the last thing you want to be doing is wasting brainpower on opening the settings tab to adjust these inputs. The study took zero effort to install as it was enabled for use immediately after purchase. Setting it all up and customizing it took less than 20 minutes and will save me countless time in the future. Support is super quick to respond and sincerely wants you to enjoy their product. If this is something that interests you, you will not regret purchasing this!
